Job Summary

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position in the Department of Allied Health at Southwest Tennessee Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Allied Health Science, developing curricula, and maintaining accurate student records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Allied Health Science, including classroom and clinical instruction
  • Develop and implement curricula, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records
  • Attend faculty meetings, college assemblies, and professional development activities
  • Participate in departmental and college committees, and provide outreach service to the community
Requirements
  • Master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree in another discipline with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline
  • Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in higher education or one (1) year teaching experience and three (3) years employment in the field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student-centered learning
  • Experience interacting successfully with an ever-growing student population
  • Ability to integrate technology into course delivery
