Job Summary

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position in the Department of Technologies at Southwest Tennessee Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology and contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology, including lectures, laboratories, and other related activities.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and college committees, and provide outreach service to the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head/Dean.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree in another discipline with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.
  • Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in higher education or one (1) year teaching experience and three (3) years employment in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student-centered learning.
  • Experience interacting successfully with an ever-growing student population.
  • Ability to integrate technology into course delivery.
