PRIMARY ROLE:

The Service Technician is responsible for executing fieldwork requests by diagnosing operational issues and performing necessary repairs. This role encompasses various product categories, including garage doors, fireplaces, and punch-out services.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in garage door installation, fireplace servicing, and punch-out tasks is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily fieldwork orders assigned by the Installed Sales Supervisor, prioritizing based on urgency and customer requirements.
  • Identify the cause and cost of repairs needed.
  • Determine the appropriate party for invoicing related repairs.
  • Inform the Installed Sales Supervisor or Facilitators about necessary parts for warranty work.
  • Ensure quality compliance throughout the repair process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and warehouse space.
  • Adhere to company operational and safety protocols.
  • Keep tools and vehicles in a professional and businesslike condition.
  • Demonstrate and promote professional conduct in public interactions.
  • Assist in training new personnel regarding equipment and quality standards.
  • Serve as a backup for routine equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Installed Sales Supervisor to manage inventory and equipment effectively.
  • Suggest improvements in quality and production to the Installed Sales Supervisor.
  • Ensure a smooth workflow of fieldwork orders and complete necessary documentation.
  • Oversee assigned tasks as directed by the Installed Sales Supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to four (4) hours. Must be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently. Ability to exert 50 lbs. of force to move objects is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work will be conducted in both controlled indoor environments and outdoor settings with varying temperatures for extended durations.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Possession of a Class F Driver's License and insurability for driving.
