The Team Leader is accountable for recruiting suitable candidates, ensuring comprehensive training, and guiding the development of the team.
Key responsibilities include driving sales through coaching and guiding Team Members to implement merchandising strategies, delivering exceptional customer service, managing expenses, and continually enhancing operational processes.
Experience Requirements:
3 to 5 years
Preferred Experience:
1-3 years in Retail Management or supervisory roles
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old
Key ResponsibilitiesYour primary duties include:
- Conducting interviews, selecting, and training Team Members;
- Directing Team Members' activities;
- Evaluating Team Members' productivity and efficiency for potential promotions or status changes;
- Addressing Team Member concerns, including complaints;
- Implementing disciplinary actions when necessary;
- Planning work schedules;
- Assigning tasks to Team Members;
- Ensuring the safety and security of Team Members and the store;
- Managing departmental or location budgets;
- Overseeing inventory for your department or location;
- Monitoring compliance measures.
Consistently making informed decisions and taking appropriate actions to:
- Achieve or surpass key performance metrics;
- Execute merchandising strategies to optimize sales and minimize waste;
- Manage inventory effectively to maximize sales and control costs;
- Schedule Team Members to meet business needs;
- Delegate tasks to align work with Team Member skills.
Conduct interviews for Team Member candidates following established procedures.
Collaborate with store or district leaders on final hiring decisions.
Support the professional growth of Team Members through effective talent management processes.
Provide ongoing, constructive feedback and coaching to Team Members regarding safety, service, and overall performance, including addressing performance issues fairly.
Exemplify Our Core Values and relevant Skills for Success, ensuring Team Members possess the necessary knowledge and skills.
Guarantee that all Team Members receive training to perform their roles safely and effectively while delivering excellent customer service.
Conduct comprehensive store orientation following standard procedures, including follow-ups with new Team Members during and after initial training.
Ensure that store conditions meet or exceed safety, service, and operational efficiency standards by engaging Team Members in continuous improvement initiatives.
