The World Bank Group is one of the largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries, and as a Senior Public Health Preparedness Officer, you will be part of the Health and Safety Directorate (HSD) team responsible for protecting and promoting staff health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standard operational procedures (SOPs) for HSD activities, including official travel and mission-related activities.
- Lead and collaborate on establishing the accountability structure and framework for HSD activities through the design and creation of HSD policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Assist in the design and implementation of a global standardization program across the World Bank Group related to the objectives assigned to HSD.
- Define and structure the objectives related to HSD disaster and health preparedness, including pandemic response.
- Prepare, design, and implement approved Strategy and Operations work programs to improve effectiveness and results associated with HSD.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health, occupational health, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
