Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Direction: Provide medical direction to the medical staff, ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance clinical performance.
  • Leadership Development: Develop and implement leadership programs to support the growth and development of medical staff leaders.
  • Communication: Serve as an interface between medical staff and facility administration, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records, ensuring compliance with facility, governmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the development of strategic plans to promote the delivery of high-quality patient care and advance the mission of IHC Health Services, Inc.
Requirements
  • Education: M.D. or D.O. with Board certification in a specialty.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in medical staff leadership, with a collaborative style and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a medical director and president of medical staff.
