Mold Setter

Job Summary:

The Mold Setter position at BD is responsible for operating injection molding machines to produce parts used in the manufacture of medical devices. This role will report directly to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Operating equipment according to established procedures.
• Preparation of materials required for production.
• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and documentation of findings.
• Assist with setup of new equipment and processes.
• Provide support to other departments as needed.
• Work with team members to improve processes and reduce scrap.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure work area is clean at all times.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Injection Molding experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of plastic injection molding.
• Good communication skills.
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Must be able to pass color vision test.
