Job Title: Resident Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Services Coordinator to join our team at Mutual Housing California. As a key member of our Resident Services team, you will play a vital role in connecting our residents with opportunities and resources to advance their well-being and stability.

Job Summary:

The Resident Services Coordinator will provide direct assistance to residents, including support with public benefits, housing stability, and individualized opportunities. You will also work collaboratively with property management and on-site case management to support positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized resident assistance, including support with applying and/or maintaining public benefits, maintaining housing stability, and seeking individually identified opportunities.
  • Support residents with concerns about the property and neighbors, including mediation, crisis intervention, housekeeping issues, and housing re-certifications.
  • Develop and maintain a service provider referral network, referring residents to address needs not covered by our team and following up on progress.
  • Host service partners relevant to resident needs at resident meetings or through group workshops.
  • Provide good customer service, acting courteously, compassionately, and responsively to all residents.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in basic social service delivery, with preference for experience in property-based social services.
  • Experience and proficiency in working in diverse, low-income communities with cultural competency and sensitivity, and inclusive practices.
  • Language skill other than English preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, respect, and rapport with colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
