Transportation Project Manager

Nitsch Engineering is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead our team in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and transportation infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee transportation engineering projects for local and state government clients.
- Supervise project teams, coordinating efforts and making decisions that reflect the best interest of the company and clients.
- Perform technical quality control reviews and prepare milestone and final submissions.
- Manage transportation studies, design of roadways, streets, intersections, and ancillary facilities.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, estimates, and engineering reports.
- Develop new business by attending networking, client, and municipal events.
Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- Massachusetts Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within one year.
- 10+ years' experience in Transportation/Highway engineering.
- Knowledge of project management roles and responsibilities and a history of successful client management.
- Experience in performing and overseeing analysis and design, preparing calculations, developing details, preparing specifications and estimates, and directing the preparation of bid documents.
- Advanced understanding of project metrics, including scope, budget, multiplier, additional service needs, and programs used to track metrics.
- Experience with construction administration services, including interpreting design intent, evaluating construction for compliance with contract documents, and directing engineering support personnel.
- Experience in preparing proposals, business development, and making public presentations.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering programs, including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
