POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Branch Operations Manager will oversee and enhance all facets of branch functionality to guarantee exceptional service delivery to both internal and external clients. This role is crucial in meeting the financial requirements of customers with efficiency, accuracy, and courtesy. Additionally, the manager will drive branch expansion in alignment with the strategic objectives set forth by the bank's ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
Branch Growth & Marketing (40%)
- Facilitate branch marketing strategies and initiatives as outlined by the Marketing Director.
- Engage in manager meetings, cross-departmental discussions, and branch financial planning.
- Proactively participate in community events to boost the bank's visibility and foster new and existing business relationships.
- Establish, implement, and attain individual and branch sales objectives through new client acquisition, referrals, and retention of account relationships.
- Enhance branch deposit and loan volumes in accordance with established growth metrics.
- Remain updated on market trends and competitor activities, reporting significant findings to the Regional Retail Manager.
Team Development (30%)
- Supervise and guide the branch retail team; overseeing job assignments, performance assessments, compensation reviews, and training; making recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations.
- Mentor and direct branch staff in operational tasks to ensure alignment with departmental goals and budgetary constraints.
- May enforce disciplinary measures to address misconduct or insufficient job performance, with the authority to recommend employee terminations.
- Delegate responsibilities to employees based on their skills and experience.
- Exemplify superior customer relations and promote service excellence through coaching and motivation.
- Identify areas for branch improvement and propose solutions to overcome challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Focus significantly on enhancing customer experience through observations, real-time coaching, recognition, and constructive feedback.
Community Engagement (20%)
- Act as the bank's representative in various community initiatives to enhance the branch's and the bank's reputation.
- Collaborate with peers both within and outside the assigned market to exchange best practices, competitive insights, and explore business development opportunities.
Retail Operations (10%)
- Conduct regular unannounced audits on retail cash drawers and vault cash, ensuring compliance with monthly audit requirements for all negotiable items.
- Maintain accurate vault cash management and oversee cash shipments under a dual control system.
- Ensure proficiency in all customer-related third-party systems, forms, and software, including the maintenance of customer records.
- Assist retail staff in their duties, including cash drawer balancing and end-of-day procedures.
- Support the opening and closing of the branch in accordance with security protocols, including weekend operations as necessary.
- Guarantee the efficient daily functioning of the branch, encompassing operations, lending, product sales, customer service, security, and safety in line with the bank's objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and federal regulations by retail staff.
- Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including general maintenance, security, and equipment management.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all bank products and services to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar role is essential.
