Client Service Team

Location: Annapolis, Maryland

Minimum Experience: Mid-level

Compensation: $15/hour+

This is a full-time, hourly role with shifts scheduled monthly, varying according to operational needs.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Client Service Team (CST) Member plays a crucial role in welcoming and registering clients and their pets. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating the urgency of each patient's condition upon arrival.
  • Prioritizing the sequence in which patients are attended to by veterinarians.
  • Communicating treatment plans and associated costs clearly.
  • Facilitating and processing payments efficiently.
  • Managing a multi-line phone system and directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Providing guidance to clients and potential clients over the phone.
  • Batching and digitizing medical records into an electronic database.
  • Coordinating communication between referring veterinarians and emergency clinicians.
  • Educating clients about their pets' health issues.
  • Offering support to clients during difficult times.

This position involves a significant administrative component.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in advanced customer service roles is necessary.
  • Successful candidates will be friendly, polished, and professional, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with well-developed interpersonal skills, are essential.

This is a 24-hour emergency clinic operating every day of the year. All staff members are expected to work a combination of nights, weekends, and holidays as part of their schedule.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, starting at $15/hour+.

A shift differential of 25% per hour applies for hours worked between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m.
