Job Title: Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at the County of Yolo, CA. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our data-driven initiatives and providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends and patterns. You will work closely with our Systems Integration and Implementation Officer to develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality for performance reporting and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform professional administrative and research work of a technical and confidential nature to support data integrity and reporting
  • Assist in the development and recommendation of modifications and enhancements to data collection and administrative processes
  • Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality for performance reporting and monitoring
  • Support program managers and staff in ensuring quality data collection
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing raw data, reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct errors
  • Conduct quality checks on the completeness and accuracy of data collected
  • Compile materials and assist in the preparation of reports, manuals, and other documents
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on statistical methods
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and management
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, SharePoint, SalesForce, statistical programs, and web-enabled survey platforms
  • Ability to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines independently, work effectively in secure databases, and understand and follow oral and written instructions
