Overview

Mt. Carmel Behavioral Health, a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services, is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join their psychiatric medical staff.

The facility is an 80-bed acute treatment center specializing in treating men and women experiencing behavioral or mental health crisis.

Mt. Carmel Behavioral Health is a partnership between Mount Carmel Health Systems and Acadia Healthcare.

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical services to patients at the facility, practicing within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, corporate, facility policy, or procedures. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders, treating or directing treatment utilizing various psychotherapeutic methods and medications. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. One or more years' postgraduate practice preferred. Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate. Board certification in psychiatry and current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
