Overview

The American Heart Association is seeking a highly motivated and organized Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our School Engagement team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute all School Engagement classroom challenge email templates, ensuring timely and effective communication with teachers and staff.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of school communications, including email templates, teacher lists, and event logistics.
  • Collaborate with school communications coordinators to ensure successful execution of multi-stage communication plans.
  • Provide administrative support to the School Engagement Director, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and data entry.
  • Assist with recruitment and materials mailings, inventory management, troubleshooting, follow-up, and status updates.
  • Prepare and maintain fundraising materials and presentations, as well as event collateral and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for auxiliary events and sponsorship meetings.
  • Perform administrative duties as required or requested.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of related administrative experience preferred.
  • Must have earned a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience and skill in using a database management system, preferably a CRM specific program.
  • Must have at least intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
  • Skill and ability in providing customer service at an excellent level to internal and external customers and partners.
