Job Summary:

Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) to join our team in Washington County, Utah. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our digital platforms, including our website, mobile app, and social media channels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce high-quality video and written content for our digital platforms, including news stories, feature pieces, and other multimedia content.
  • Conduct interviews, research, and gather information to create compelling and accurate stories.
  • Write and edit scripts, articles, and other content for our digital platforms.
  • Shoot and edit video footage for our digital platforms, including news stories, feature pieces, and other multimedia content.
  • Work closely with our news team to develop and implement content strategies and plans.
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, fairness, and balance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of multimedia journalism and adapt our content strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in multimedia journalism, including video production, writing, and editing.
  • Strong knowledge of current media creation tools and software, including video editing software and content management systems.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt to different formats and styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our news team and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.
  • Strong portfolio of work, including examples of multimedia content created for digital platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of professional experience in multimedia journalism.
  • Strong knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of multimedia journalism.
  • Experience working with content management systems and other digital tools.
