Job Title: Medical Assistant - Mobile Healthcare

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs, IV starts, and blood draws. You will also be responsible for splint application, wound care, and working directly with point-of-care laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work under the supervision of licensed NP/PA providers
  • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
  • IV starts and blood draws (as permitted by state law)
  • Splint application
  • Wound care
  • Work directly with point-of-care laboratory equipment including operation, calibration, and maintenance
  • Perform EKGs
  • Assist NP/PAs in the daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit
  • Documentation
  • Supply and stocking
Requirements:
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification
  • Basic Certification with
  • KS, EMT License (hiring credential only)
  • Candidates with a bachelors degree in a core science or lab science and have a minimum of 2 years experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device, are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
