Job Overview

Rusty Pelican Miami is seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, preparing ingredients, and assisting in food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for menu items, including washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, slicing, and cooking.
  • Store items in the refrigerator, cover items left in the open air, and prepare special food elements ahead of time for quick access.
  • Assist in food preparation, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Work efficiently to meet production demands, ensuring timely output of menu items.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of similar experience or culinary training.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Food Handler Certificate required.
