Senior Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

The Senior Sonographer is a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, responsible for delivering high-quality ultrasound services to our patients. This role requires a strong foundation in medical sonography, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a physician, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Review and evaluate requisitions for ultrasound imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs.
- Develop and implement plans for adjusting to patients' specific needs, ensuring a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
- Follow the QC/Data Integrity Workflow process and practice High Reliability Communication techniques.
- Identify and report on equipment malfunctions, assist in patient scheduling, and facilitate efficient workflow within the ultrasound area.
- Provide instruction on performing ultrasound procedures for trainees and fellows, and serve as a resource and respond to requests for information or assistance.
Requirements
- Registered by the ARDMS, with successful completion and maintenance of the ARDMS certification.
- Associates degree in Medical Sonography, with 3 years of experience as a Sonographer.
