Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accounting Director to join our team at Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the corporate accounting and finance teams, as well as consolidating financial statements. Your expertise will be essential in reporting on current corporate business performance, leading the corporate budget and forecasting process, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the company's Annual Report, including financial footnotes, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead the external audit and tax processes, assuring compliance.
  • Develop and lead the Corporate Finance & Accounting staffs, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, corporate accounting, cost accounting, financial statement preparation, treasury management, data analysis, and employee payroll.
  • Establish and assure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls to safeguard cooperative assets.
  • Consolidate the annual budget and be responsible for the corporate budget.
  • Coordinate all treasury functions, including establishing and maintaining banking relations, maintaining security protocols, sufficient liquidity, and fee minimization.
  • Advise the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Team, and Management on setting and achieving financial objectives and provide insights on enhancing financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Lead efforts in discovering new opportunities to optimize the accounting processes and partner with other departments to execute these new processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field required.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry a plus.
  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge.
  • ERP experience required, SAP experience a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow-through skills.
  • High-energy, self-motivated individual with strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
