Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures, minimizing downtime and optimizing patient outcomes.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing patient concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 10 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
