Within our Branch Operations Department, you will explore diverse aspects of the credit union, including mortgage processes, budgeting, investment strategies, and fraud prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist members in submitting applications for consumer, mortgage, equity loans, overdraft protection, and credit cards.
  • Provide guidance to current and prospective members regarding Navy Federal's products and services.
  • Ensure proper handling of cash and other negotiable instruments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance product penetration through cross-service offerings.
  • Perform essential banking functions on the platform.
  • Understand and adhere to federal regulations and other compliance requirements related to financial products and services.
  • May assist with vault operations, including opening, closing, and balancing procedures.
  • May serve as a custodian for Branch Office and/or ATM vaults.
  • Participate in specialized training programs as required (e.g., Business Services, IRA, MLO, notary).
  • Exhibit effective active listening skills to accurately address inquiries and account requests.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Build effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Navigate multiple screens and PC applications while adapting to new technologies.

Note that SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Navy Federal, as they continue to receive military pay and benefits as active-duty service members.
