About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team at OPYA. As a Behavior Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing individualized care to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinically excellent care to children aged 18 months to 6 years old diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Build and strengthen therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
  • Educate parents on behavior therapy principles and strategies
  • Use technology to accurately collect ongoing clinical data and track client progress
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership teams to communicate client progress and develop treatment plans
  • Assure the health and safety of clients during home and community-based visits
Requirements
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and/or 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid US driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to and including 25lbs to 50lbs used in home/community-based visits
  • Experience using productivity tools like Google/G-Suite
  • Willingness to travel to multiple worksites
  • Timely, reliable, responsible, and committed to long-term employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Experience providing education, coaching, and support to families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or related learning and developmental disabilities
  • American Sign Language or bilingual ability
