About the Opportunity
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented student looking to gain hands-on experience in retail and marketing? We are seeking a Merchandise Associate to join our team at AEG, where you will have the opportunity to work with our merchandise and retail operations.
Job Summary
- Assist with retail marketing and displays, inventory management, point of sale software, purchasing, staffing, service delivery, reporting, and Minor League Baseball's online store platform.
- Gain exposure to other team departments by assisting with select administrative or operational tasks during your learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Retail marketing and displays: Assist with creating visually appealing store displays, implementing promotional strategies, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.
- Inventory management: Help manage inventory levels, track stock, and perform cycle counts to ensure accurate reporting.
- Point of sale software: Assist with processing transactions, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate sales data.
- Purchasing: Collaborate with management to plan and execute purchases for merchandise and supplies.
- Staffing: Assist with scheduling, training, and supervising staff members to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Service delivery: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for fans and guests.
- Reporting: Assist with preparing and submitting reports on sales, inventory, and customer data.
- Minor League Baseball's online store platform: Assist with managing online orders, shipping, and customer inquiries.
Requirements
- Motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with point of sale software and inventory management systems.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
