Civil Engineer - Warradarge 2 Wind Farm

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Warradarge 2 Wind Farm in Western Australia. As a key member of our site-based team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our wind farm project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify civil and structural design drawings and documentation against contractual obligations, industry standards, safety compliance, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with scope requirements, delivering assigned works on time and within budgetary limitations.
  • Coordinate design interfaces with Electrical Engineers and other discipline leads.
  • Coordinate Safety in Design Reviews.
  • Review Inspection and test planning of civil components and infrastructure.
  • Witness inspection and tests of civil components and infrastructure.
  • Review plant and material selection.
  • Report on the progress of inspections/tests and QA/QC submissions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical queries, variations, and payment claims are assessed promptly.
  • Attend site and progress meetings to assist with expert knowledge in these areas.
  • Monitor BOP progress and contribute to deriving solutions or mitigation measures should delays be incurred.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with onsite clients and contractors.
  • Ensure all work carried out complies with Quality and Site Safety requirements at all times.
Requirements:
  • Post Graduate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Management of subcontractors and designers in a site-based, construction environment.
  • Review of civil and structural design in a construction environment.
  • Experience with Pavement / Road / Drainage design is highly valued.
  • Experience with Concrete / Foundation design highly valued.
  • Experience in negotiating with major stakeholders, both clients/contractors.
  • Ability to operate within a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in the construction of Wind farms highly valued.
  • Advanced use of MS Office.
  • Experience with using document control systems highly valued (E.g. Team binder).
  • Strong verbal and written communication/negotiation skills.
  • Relationship building, both internal and external.
  • Proactive view and practical approach toward the role.
  • Commercial and Risk Awareness.
