Responsibilities in this role:
You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the department.
You will consistently support the patient care team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment.
You will foster positive patient interactions that promote unparalleled patient service.
You will demonstrate compassion and empathy in all interactions and advocate for a patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions.
You will exhibit excellent communication skills, including active listening, ensuring patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications.
You will engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including safety rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
You will participate as an active member of the healthcare team and positively promote the team to patients, families, caregivers, and other colleagues.Qualifications required:
This position is in the 3 Medical department.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated or tested ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
1+ years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
CNA license as mandated by state of practice.
