Role Description

This Housing Stability Specialist position will work directly with low-income and special needs tenants at Lantern Community Services Inc. in Brooklyn, NY.

Salary Range: $27.47 - $32.96 per hour (approximately $57,000 - $68,000 per year based on full-time hours).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Interact with new applicants and various city and state agencies to ensure efficient intake processes.
  2. Request client applications from referral sources, coordinate interviews, and review approved eligibility documentation.
  3. Collaborate with Clinical staff and Property Management to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  4. Ensure timely completion of annual lease documents and track monthly reports of lease renewals and occupancy levels.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience providing direct service to vulnerable populations.
  • Prior experience with leasing compliance, property management, or asset management.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Suite and databases like CAPS or HASA Web.
