The GM Coach is a critical leadership position at Walmart, responsible for driving sales, customer satisfaction, and team performance in a designated store area. As a GM Coach, you will lead and develop high-performing teams, drive business results, and model exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop Teams: Hire, train, and mentor associates to achieve business objectives and develop their skills and abilities.
- Drive Sales and Customer Satisfaction: Review and evaluate P&L statements, manage and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Model Exceptional Customer Service: Demonstrate and promote the One Best Way (OBW) service model, manage and support customer service initiatives, and ensure customer needs are successfully resolved.
- Supervise and Mentor Associates: Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, and mentoring, and ensure diversity and inclusion awareness.
- Coordinate and Complete Job-Related Activities: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identify and communicate goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education: 2 years' of college or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience or 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to drive sales and customer satisfaction, and experience in team development and supervision.
