Aquatic Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at the YMCA of Central Kentucky. As a lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our members and guests while they enjoy our aquatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prevention of Accidents: Maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing pool rules and regulations, and providing guidance to members and guests on safe swimming practices.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in the event of an emergency, providing rescue and first aid services as needed.
- Pool Operations: Monitor and maintain the pool area, including deck and locker rooms, to ensure a clean and safe environment for all users.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other lifeguards and pool staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the pool area.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Certifications: Current and valid lifeguard certification, first aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Swimming Skills: Excellent swimming skills and a varied aquatic background.
