We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Operations Specialist to join our team at Gray Construction. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve contractor pre-qualification documentation, ensuring compliance with Gray's safety standards.
- Manage incident reporting, reviewing and editing reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and analyze safety statistics, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
- Participate in the interviewing process for prospective team members, providing hiring recommendations to the Director, Safety.
- Assist with staffing projects, including recruitment and onboarding.
- Review and update the safety manual, ensuring it remains current and compliant with industry standards.
- Coordinate safety events and outings, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience in a safety position in the construction industry or four years of administrative experience with a construction company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A passion for safety and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.
