Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Jbs Mental Health Authority. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct client care to residents of our home/training facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care to residents, including monitoring, supervising, and training in daily/independent living skills.
  • Support residents in their daily lives, including transportation and completion of administrative and client-related paperwork.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the highest level of care and support for our residents.
  • Assist with training and development of residents in areas such as daily living skills, personal care, and community integration.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Alabama driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our agency's automobile insurance carrier.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
