About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Associate to join our team at Alabama Clinical Schools. As a Mental Health Associate, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with daily activities, facilitate groups, and perform other duties as assigned by Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, or Shift Supervisor.
  • Monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or other related mental health field preferred.
  • Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills.
  • Able to safely monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention.
  • Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
  • Must be 19 years or older, and have a successful drug screen and background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
