Key Responsibilities

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining direct communication with customers throughout the sales process. This role supports the sales team by fostering and sustaining positive relationships with clients, which significantly impacts service and product revenue. The representative collaborates with various departments to achieve maintenance service sales objectives and works closely with customers and distributors to accurately assess equipment failures, providing management with detailed reports.

The focus of this role may encompass pre-sale, post-sale, or both. For those in pre-sale, responsibilities include:

  • Addressing customer inquiries to identify suitable product literature and pricing.
  • Influencing production and shipping timelines.
  • Recommending pricing adjustments based on customer relationships.
  • Identifying new business opportunities.

In post-sale scenarios, the representative will:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding returns, status updates, and deliveries.
  • Resolve issues related to production scheduling, shipping, or invoicing.
  • Assess warranty claims and coordinate repair resources.
  • Adjust production and shipping schedules as necessary.
  • Recognize opportunities for additional business.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Familiarity with:

  • SAP Business Objects
  • Oracle ERP
  • Tableau
  • Microsoft Office

Willingness to travel up to 25% is expected.
