Biomedical Equipment Technician Job Description

At Renovo Solutions, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, safety testing, and repairs on patient care equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, maintain, and repair basic electronic devices according to specifications
  • Support the facility's scheduled maintenance program
  • Accurately document all activities in the preferred computerized medical maintenance system
  • Diagnose and solve system and equipment malfunctions
  • Research and order parts to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Provide technical in-service or instruction to facility staff
  • Maintain a safe workspace and test equipment

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College Degree, Technical Certification, or higher level of education preferred
  • CBET or similar certification preferred

Working Conditions:

The Biomedical Equipment Technician will work in a hospital environment and must abide by safety rules of the host site.

Relationships:

The Biomedical Equipment Technician will report to the BMET Supervisor and will work closely with management to develop and implement a plan for professional growth.

Other Training:

The Biomedical Equipment Technician will participate in company training programs as requested.
