Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

About the Role:

DocGo is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing top-tier patient care and transporting patients to medical facilities in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Remain flexible and adapt to changing shift schedules due to the 24-hour nature of emergency services.
  • Stay up-to-date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses, and all certifications, licenses, and registrations.
  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when interacting with patients, coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Recognize and treat medical conditions with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of state and county protocols.
  • Provide excellent medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for patient care and carrying out established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking and taking ownership of your space.
  • Gather patient billing information and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports.
  • Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 pounds or more.

Qualifications:

  • NY State EMT License
  • Valid Driver's License (held for 2 or more years) and acceptable driving record
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Technologically savvy or comfortable with technology
  • Able to work on a team
  • Respectful of colleagues, patients, and supervisors
