Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Technician

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Deaconess. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining an optimal environment for the testing, training, and education of Cardiac and Pulmonary patients.

**Responsibilities:**

- Operate Remote telemetry system and correctly place EKG electrodes for monitoring.
- Interpret rhythm strips and document interpretation in patient electronic record.
- Recognize both normal and abnormal rhythms on monitor and notify RN of abnormal findings.
- Clean telemetry monitors between patient use with approved wipes.
- Obtain accurate vital signs and record blood pressure, pulse, and pulse oximeter reading.
- Perform blood glucose tests and accurately operate the blood glucose monitor.
- Obtain accurate patient weight and document in patient record.
- Correctly reapply oxygen via cannula or mask.
- Assist with patient ambulation/transfers from equipment.
- Transport patients to and from the Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab to the main lobby.
- Maintain and demonstrate proper use of unit supplies and equipment.
- Enter work orders and notify the appropriate person when a piece of equipment needs maintenance.
- Check stock levels, restock, and clean patient care areas.
- Answer the department phone and direct calls to the appropriate person.
- Complete patient registration in EMR on patient's first visit to Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab.

**Requirements:**

- High School Diploma
- Patient experience preferred
- Medical Terminology knowledge preferred
- Passed and maintained Basic Dysrhythmia and PCT training
