Position Overview:
As an Intellectual Property Consultant at Fawkes IDM, you will play a crucial role in managing and safeguarding our clients' intellectual property assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of client dockets to identify upcoming deadlines, prepare and send notifications to clients regarding these deadlines, and provide necessary follow-ups.
  • Prepare electronic documentation for trademark filings with the USPTO, including applications, responses to office actions, extensions, statements of use, declarations of use and incontestability, renewal applications, and evidence of trademark use.
  • Facilitate electronic submissions for trademark registrations with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), encompassing international applications and various WIPO-related filings.
  • Engage with international law firms to offer guidance on filing and prosecuting foreign trademark applications, while addressing their inquiries regarding powers of attorney and other essential filing information.
  • Assist in conducting trademark clearance searches, utilizing resources such as the USPTO and Saegis databases.
  • Prepare electronic forms for patent submissions to the USPTO, including provisional and utility patent applications, information disclosure statements, and responses to office actions.
  • Draft formal documentation for patent filings with the USPTO, which may include declarations, powers of attorney, assignments, and other necessary documents required by international patent offices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in intellectual property, particularly within a law firm setting, utilizing an IP practice management system.
  • Experience in monitoring patent and trademark dockets effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (such as Word and Excel) and billing software.
