Actuarial Consultant - Pricing Specialist

The Hartford Group Benefits is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consultant - Pricing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pricing team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing pricing strategies for our Group Benefits Life and AD&D products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to analyze and price complex cases, ensuring accurate and efficient pricing.
  • Support the development of pricing targets and assumptions, working closely with internal and external data sources.
  • Provide ad-hoc pricing support and analysis for special projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with underwriting to determine risk charges and develop pricing for unique cases and benefits.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in actuarial consulting or a related field, with a focus on pricing and analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, VBA, and Access.
  • Experience with database management and programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive results across multiple stakeholders.
  • Intellectually curious and passionate about staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

The Hartford offers a competitive salary range of $78,960 - $118,440, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
