Culinary Operations Supervisor

Are you a culinary expert with a passion for mentoring others? Culinary Services Group is seeking a Culinary Operations Supervisor to lead and develop our production team, ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal food temperatures, freshness, and presentation, while ensuring that the kitchen is always prepared for inspections. You will also manage resources and staffing in alignment with budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate comprehensive training and development programs for team members to align with the Culinary Services Group strategy.
  • Oversee the production team to guarantee high-quality plate presentations.
  • Implement effective resource management to meet operational demands.
  • Conduct quality assessments of food items for freshness and monitor temperature compliance.
  • Ensure timely execution of food compliance audits.
  • Manage staffing levels in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Design and oversee daily menus while effectively controlling food costs through strategic purchasing, cooking, portioning, and product utilization.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to direct report team members.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with facility administrators and personnel.
  • Ensure efficient food distribution from the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized work environment.
  • Deliver a dining experience that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations related to food service and personal hygiene.
  • Implement and monitor HACCP policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Dietary Managers Certification (preferred) and/or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience in institutional or healthcare food service environments.
  • Formal education in institutional cooking and food service sanitation is preferred.
