We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist I to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating angiographic equipment, assisting with interventional and surgical procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Competently operate angiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, vascular stenting, and embolization.
- Assist with interventional and surgical procedures, receiving direction from attending and resident physicians.
- Monitor patients and alert staff to life-threatening changes in patient status, applying defibrillators and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
- Identify and process images, ensuring diagnostic quality, and assist with equipment maintenance.
- Compare requisitions to physician orders, ensuring exam accuracy, and post-process images as directed.
- Maintain accurate records and enter patient information into the radiology information system.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and adhering to safety protocols.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
