Position Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer serves as the principal leader responsible for the daily operations and strategic direction of the organization.   • Compensation: $160,000-$175,000 annually for candidates located in New York.
  • Remote Considerations: For candidates working remotely outside of New York, salary will be adjusted based on local market conditions.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid model preferred, with in-office presence required on specified days.
  • Travel Requirements: Significant travel may be necessary for candidates based remotely in various states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the Board of Trustees and leadership to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Donor Wall and other recognition initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to the organization’s values.
  • Collaborate with volunteers, donors, and stakeholders in the field of children's health.
  • Provide support to board members during emergencies and liaise with hospital staff as needed.
  • Manage the annual calendar of events and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Update the organization’s website and coordinate with marketing and communications teams.
  • Implement and oversee the Contact Management System.
  • Establish new governance protocols and recruit additional Board Members.
  • Develop promotional campaigns and innovative events to enhance community engagement.
  • Focus on cultivating relationships with major donors and securing pledges.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Non-Profit Executive Director or in a comparable leadership role.
  • Proven track record in fundraising and resource development.
  • Expertise in volunteer engagement and recruitment strategies.
  • Strong financial acumen and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and grants effectively.
  • Willingness to travel internationally several times a year, including to meet with international teams.
