The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will report to the Mechanical Design Manager and will be accountable for the mechanical design, production, and delivery of equipment utilized in the development and testing of next-generation energy systems.

You will oversee the design of critical hardware (e.g., structural components, fuel systems) for various testing and product applications.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after completing training.

The hybrid arrangement includes a minimum of 3 days in the office and the option to work remotely on other days, depending on team/project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with a tightly-knit team of engineers and scientists to design the next generation of energy machinery.
- Work closely with internal and external manufacturing partners to provide equipment for testing and evaluation.
- Develop and execute plans to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Lead initiatives to address both technical and scheduling challenges.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Present findings to subject matter experts and project leaders during technical evaluations.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all work.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications
- Over 6 years of experience in the design, analysis, manufacturing, or testing of structural or propulsion components.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Competence in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing projects.
- Established project management capabilities.
