Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take on a pivotal role in our organization. In this position, you will provide essential leadership, mentoring, and training to junior staff members. Your responsibilities will encompass technical guidance, project management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make significant design recommendations and decisions with minimal oversight.
- Plan and allocate design tasks for projects of varying sizes.
- Review and provide feedback on correspondence prepared by junior engineers.
- Engage actively in the quality control processes of projects.
Technical Leadership Path:
- Contribute to leadership within our Technical Operations Team for diverse projects.
- Serve as an advisor, analyze technical challenges, and prepare reports.
- Play a crucial role in project reviews, ensuring quality control for complex initiatives.
- Provide technical support to resolve field issues, requiring site visits and independent problem-solving.
Project Management Path:
- Act as Project Manager for large-scale projects or multiple smaller initiatives.
- Identify potential clients and assist in marketing efforts to attract new business.
- Consistently secure work from existing and new clients and participate in client presentations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in the technical aspects of mechanical engineering.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead team members effectively.
- Capability to conduct final quality control checks in your area of expertise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer license is required.
