The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the readiness of anesthesia service areas for use by Anesthesiologists and Anesthetists. This includes all operating rooms in the main OR and Cysto, as well as additional service areas such as OB, Radiology, MRI, pre-op, and PACU facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure proper workflow and compliance with infection control, health, and safety policies.
- Work independently and may act as a preceptor to train new staff members.
- Stay up-to-date with knowledge of medical/surgical and anesthetic terminology.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
- One year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
