Anesthesia Technician

ERP International is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to provide support services throughout the medical center in conjunction with surgical and medical procedures requiring anesthesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up anesthesia equipment, maintaining a standard anesthesia cart, and providing personnel able to perform a full range of duties consistent with their profession.
Key Responsibilities- Set up anesthesia equipment in each operating room prior to the beginning of the scheduled OR day.
- Maintain a standard anesthesia cart to ensure all appropriate drugs and supplies are available to the anesthesia providers.
- Remove all special and reusable equipment after completion of case and responsible for cleaning equipment and working area/surfaces in accordance with Hospital Infection Control policies for prevention of disease transmission.
- Set up and start IV lines as directed and supervised by credential practitioner.
- Develop knowledge of equipment including anesthesia machines, electronic monitoring equipment, optical diagnostic equipment, and equipment used in the Pain Medicine clinic.
- Understand and operate the auto transfusion machine (cell saver) and related equipment in both scheduled and emergent surgical cases.
- Be available to promptly respond to anesthesia supply and equipment requests while surgical cases are ongoing.
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Technologist.
- ASATT preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
