Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Energy Technician to join our team at NextEra Energy, Inc. As a Wind Energy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and optimal performance of our wind farm operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment
  • Complete electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Maintain all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling
  • Apply advanced understanding of the technical and process functions as well as a basic understanding of Quality Improvement (QI) processes
  • Provide oversight to other personnel and act as a Safety Mentor
  • Demonstrate mastery of process and technical skills and problem solving expertise by way of board review
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 2+ years
  • Ability to climb freestanding wind turbine towers
  • Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base pay for this position is $61,600.00 to $92,400.00 per year. NextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
