Payroll Operations Assistant

**Job Summary**
The ActOne Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Operations Assistant to support our Payroll Operations and Compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will assist with the day-to-day administration of payroll processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide general operational support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the preparation, processing, and review of payroll for accuracy and compliance.
- Support compliance audits and ensure adherence to company policies and state/federal regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, employee files, and relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with the HR team to address employee inquiries related to payroll.
- Track and report payroll data, including timesheets and attendance.
- Provide general office support, including scheduling, filing, and correspondence.
- Support compliance initiatives by assisting in the tracking of required training and certifications.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in handling payroll and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to streamline payroll and compliance workflows.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in payroll, HR, or compliance is a plus but not required – we are willing to train.
**Work Schedule:**
- Hybrid model: 2 days in-office (Schaumburg, IL), 3 days working from home.
