The Compliance Associate II plays a critical role in upholding the integrity and compliance of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's operations. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Compliance Hotline, ensuring reported issues are thoroughly evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance Hotline Management: Manage the receipt, evaluation, investigation, and resolution of compliance issues received via the hotline, email, and phone.
- Issue Triage and Escalation: Respond to queries or allegations, triage issues to appropriate departments, and escalate concerns to senior leadership as necessary.
- Compliance Database Management: Maintain a log/database of all issues received by the department, documenting actions taken and resolutions.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends and changes in compliance and regulatory guidelines affecting Northwestern Memorial Healthcare and its subsidiaries.
- Investigations and Audits: Coordinate investigations and audits in response to compliance-related issues, gathering relevant information and drawing logical conclusions.
- Compliance Education and Training: Assist in the development of compliance education and training materials to ensure employees understand their roles in maintaining compliance.
- Corrective Action Planning: Assist departments in developing corrective action plans for identified issues.
- Reporting and Dashboards: Assist in the development of dashboards, written reports, and other deliverables to present to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
- Compliance Risk Assessment: Support the Corporate Compliance Manager in identifying and assessing areas of compliance risk for Northwestern Memorial Healthcare.
- Compliance Work Plan Development: Assist in the development and implementation of the department's annual Compliance Work Plan.
- Policy Development and Maintenance: Help develop and maintain compliance-related policies and procedures to ensure they are current and relevant.
- Policy Guidance: Provide policy-related guidance to individuals and departments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
