Account Specialist II

Aon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Specialist II to join our Commercial Risk team in Chicago. As an Account Specialist II, you will play a critical role in managing key processes that serve clients, including complex clients, and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes and undertaking client-facing and internal activities.
- Assist Brokers as necessary, particularly on Commercial Risk business.
- Perform submission assembly/creation, facilitate timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members, and handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
- Gather and analyze data, draft stewardship reports and other presentations, and actively support and monitor the renewal process.
- Coordinate activities with Aon Client Services (ACS) to ensure efficient performance of key processes and quality of client deliverables.
- Collaborate with Premium Accounting on client billing matters and receive and handle routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests.
- Serve as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, Workers Compensation posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, summaries of insurance, and policy transmittals.
- Monitor and follow-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, and address and resolve problems.
- May provide guidance and mentoring to less senior account specialists and delegate work to support staff and ACS where applicable.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous commercial insurance experience preferred.
- Property & Casualty brokers license preferred, or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
