Overview:

The Newark Housing Authority is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our employees and the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all operating departments with HR-related activities, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and training
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues
  • Manage employee records, including personnel files and benefit enrollment
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including Title VII, ADA, FLSA, and FMLA

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in HR generalist or a related role. You should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
