About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. As a key member of our Day Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our nursing team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for our patients.
  • Assess learning needs and implement effective teaching strategies to promote patient education and empowerment.
  • Communicate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure seamless collaboration with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals.
  • Use data and knowledge to drive decision-making and promote positive outcomes, aligning with our organization's commitment to excellence.
  • Embody our values of customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional growth, while maintaining a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Requirements
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
